For the Prime New York Strip

For the Crispy Mashed Potatoes

Method

Cooking the Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the steak from the refrigerator and let it rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Preheat your grill or skillet over high heat.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Add fresh rosemary on top.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Place the steak on the grill or skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for preferred doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the Crispy Mashed Potatoes

  1. 5

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into equal-sized chunks. Boil in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 6

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash with butter, heavy cream, garlic (minced), and season with salt and pepper.

  3. 7

    Crisp the Mashed Potatoes

Spread the mashed potatoes in a baking dish, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, and broil in the oven until golden and crispy.

  4. 8

    Garnish

Top with chopped chives before serving.

Cooking the Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 9

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and chop the seasonal vegetables into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 10

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the vegetables, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender.
