Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the sirloin steak with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adding butter and garlic cloves during the last minute of cooking for flavor.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Crispy Mashed Potatoes

Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with heavy cream and cheddar cheese until creamy. Optionally, mix in chopped green onions and season with salt to taste. Spread the mashed potatoes on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) until the top is crispy.

  3. 3

    Cook the Seasonal Vegetables

While the steak and potatoes are cooking, steam or sauté seasonal vegetables until tender but still vibrant in color. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Serve

Plate the steak alongside a generous serving of crispy mashed potatoes and a side of seasonal vegetables.
