Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water while mixing until a dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Filling

In a large bowl, combine ground pork, chopped cabbage, green onions, minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

  3. 3

    Form the Gyoza

Divide the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter). Roll each ball into a thin circle. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle. Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal.

  4. 4

    Cook the Gyoza

In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Place the gyoza in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown. Add about 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and quickly cover with a lid. Steam the gyoza for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
