Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

1

Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick.

Cook the Burgers

3

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.

4

Grill the Patties

Place the patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip.

5

Add Cheese

After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

6

Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

7

Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, pickles, and your desired amount of ketchup and mustard.

8

Complete the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
