Extracting Grapefruit Juice
Cut the grapefruit in half and use a citrus juicer to extract 1 cup of fresh grapefruit juice. Strain the juice if you prefer a smoother texture.

Squeezing Lemon Juice
Roll the lemons on the countertop to loosen the juice. Cut them in half and use a juicer or hand squeeze to extract 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.

Preparing Beet Juice
If using fresh beets, peel and chop them into small pieces. Blend with 1 cup of water and strain to get 1 cup of beet juice. Alternatively, use bottled beet juice.
Mixing the Drink

Combining Ingredients
In a large mixing glass, combine the fresh grapefruit juice, lemon juice, and beet juice. Stir well to blend the flavors.

Adding Sweeteners
Add the vanilla syrup and raspberry preserve to the juice mixture. Stir until the raspberry preserve is fully dissolved and the mixture is well combined.
Serving

Chilling and Serving
Pour the drink into chilled glasses. You can serve it over ice if desired. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit or a few raspberries for presentation.
