Ingredients for Baja Style Tacos
Method
Directions for Baja Style Tacos
- 1
Prepare the Fish
In a bowl, mix the olive oil, cumin powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade. Add the white fish to the marinade, coating it evenly. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- 2
Cook the Fish
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated fish and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 3
- 4
Prepare Avocado Salsa
In a bowl, mash the avocados and squeeze the juice of half a lime into them. Mix well, adding salt to taste. Optionally, you can add diced tomatoes or chopped onions.
- 5
Prepare Chipotle Crème
In a small bowl, mix the sour cream with the chipotle in adobo sauce until well combined. Adjust spice level to taste.
- 6
Warm the Tortillas
In a dry skillet, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until they are pliable.
- 7
Assemble the Tacos
On each tortilla, place a portion of the cooked fish, followed by a handful of coleslaw mix, a spoonful of avocado salsa, caramelized onions, and a drizzle of chipotle crème. Top with fresh cilantro leaves.
- 8
Serve
Serve the tacos immediately with lime wedges on the side for extra flavor.
