Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation of Tuna

  1. 1

    Dice the Tuna

Using a sharp knife, carefully dice the sushi-grade tuna into small cubes, about 1/2 inch in size. Place in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mix the Marinade

In a separate bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, and sriracha sauce. Stir well until mixed.

  3. 3

    Combine Tuna with Marinade

Pour the marinade over the diced tuna. Add chopped chives and sesame seeds. Gently stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate for about 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Preparation of Avocado

  1. 4

    Prepare the Avocado

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh out with a spoon. Dice the avocado into small cubes.

  2. 5

    Season the Avocado

In a small bowl, lightly toss the diced avocado with a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lime juice to prevent browning.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Tartare

In a serving dish or on individual plates, create a layer of the marinated tuna mixture. Top with the seasoned avocado cubes.

  2. 7

    Garnish

Add a dollop of wasabi paste on the side. Garnish with microgreens or sprouts and lime wedges for serving.
