Method

Ribeye Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Add the ribeye steaks to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into halves or quarters for even cooking.

  2. 7

    Boil the Potatoes

Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover them with water. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and bring to a boil. Cook until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  3. 8

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until creamy and smooth.

Asparagus

  1. 9

    Prepare the Asparagus

Wash the asparagus and trim the woody ends.

  2. 10

    Cook the Asparagus

In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the asparagus and season with salt. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp.
