Marinade
Chicken
Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well blended.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375-450°F or 190-232°C).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place the chicken breasts on the preheated grill. Grill for about 6-7 minutes on one side.
- 5
Flip and Finish Cooking
Flip the chicken breasts and grill for an additional 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken is no longer pink in the center.
- 6
Rest the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute, ensuring moist chicken.
