Prepare the Beef

Cook the Beef
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add Garlic and Seasonings
Stir in the minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

Brown the Beef
Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
Assemble the Tacos

Warm the Tortillas
In a separate pan, warm the soft taco tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

Divide the beef mixture evenly among the warmed tortillas.

Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top before eating.
