Bread Pudding

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Tear the day-old bread into small pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the wet mixture over the torn bread and let it soak for about 15 minutes. If using, fold in the raisins.

  4. 4

    Bake the Pudding

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  5. 5

    Make the Ice Cream

While the pudding is baking, prepare the cinnamon ice cream according to your favorite recipe or use store-bought.

  6. 6

    Serve

Once the bread pudding is cooked, allow it to cool slightly. Serve warm with a scoop of cinnamon ice cream on top.
