Flatbread

Parmesan Cream Sauce

Method

Flatbread Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix well. Add warm water and olive oil, then knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Roll and Cook the Flatbread

After resting, divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a round flatbread about 1/4 inch thick. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Set aside.

Parmesan Cream Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Sauce

In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Heat over medium heat until it begins to simmer.

  2. 4

    Add Parmesan

Once simmering, gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Flatbread

Place each flatbread on a serving plate. Top with chopped spinach, diced tomatoes, and crumbled bacon.

  2. 6

    Drizzle with Sauce

Generously drizzle the Parmesan cream sauce over the toppings on each flatbread before serving.
