Method
Chicken Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Add the chicken breasts and coat them well with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Cook the Chicken
Preheat the grill or a frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let them rest.
Toppings Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Toppings
While the chicken is resting, slice the tomato and red onion. Shred the lettuce and set aside.
- 4
Melt the Cheese
If you grilled the chicken, place the Jack cheese on top of the hot chicken breast for about 1-2 minutes until melted. If fried, melt the cheese in a microwave for 30 seconds.
Homemade Ranch Sauce Preparation
- 5
Mix the Sauce
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, milk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Assembly
- 6
Assemble the Ranch Chicken
On a plate, place the cooked chicken with melted cheese. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion. Drizzle with the homemade ranch sauce. Serve immediately and enjoy!
