Method

Brownie Batter Preparation

  1. 1

    Melt the Butter

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter in the microwave until completely melted. Allow it to cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Mix Sugars and Eggs

In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 cup of brown sugar. Whisk until fully combined. Add in 2 large eggs and 2 tsp of vanilla extract, mixing well.

  3. 3

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, sift together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 0.5 tsp of salt.

  4. 4

    Fold Dry Ingredients into Wet

Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 5

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips into the brownie batter.

  6. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  7. 7

    Prepare Baking Pan

Line a mini muffin tin with mini muffin liners or grease it with non-stick spray.

  8. 8

    Fill Muffin Tin

Spoon the brownie batter into the mini muffin tin, filling each liner about 2/3 full.

  9. 9

    Bake Brownie Bites

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Chocolate Sauce Preparation

  1. 10

    Heat Cream

In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat 0.5 cup of heavy cream until it just starts to simmer.

  2. 11

    Combine with Chocolate Chips

Remove from heat and add 0.5 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips to the cream. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth and fully combined.

Final Assembly

  1. 12

    Dust with Powdered Sugar

Once the brownie bites are baked and slightly cooled, dust with 0.25 cup of powdered sugar using a fine mesh sieve.

  2. 13

    Serve with Chocolate Sauce

Drizzle the chocolate sauce over the brownie bites before serving.
