Chips Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the red, white, and blue corn tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet.

Bake the chips in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes or until they are crispy.

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or chicken. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.

Once cooked, drain any excess fat and stir in the taco seasoning. Add 1/4 cup of water and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.

Layer the Nachos
On a large platter, layer the crispy tortilla chips.

Evenly distribute the seasoned meat over the chips.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously on top of the meat.

Add the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped green onions, sliced jalapeños, and sliced black olives on top of the nachos.
