Preparing the Patty

Season the Beef
In a mixing bowl, combine Angus beef ground meat, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until the spices are evenly distributed without overworking the meat.

Form the Patty
Divide the seasoned beef mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty about 3/4 inch thick.
Cooking the Patty

Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill or charbroiler to high heat.

Cook the Patty
Place the beef patty on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip the patty and place a slice of American cheese on top. Continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Assembling the Burger

Prepare the Bun
While the patty is cooking, slice the brioche bun in half and toast it lightly on the grill until golden brown.

Add Toppings
On the bottom half of the toasted bun, place the lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked beef patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, onion rings, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
