Method

Prepare the Burger

  1. 1

    Form the Patty

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into a patty approximately 1/3 lb in weight.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 4

    Fry the Egg

In the same skillet, crack the large egg and fry it to your desired doneness, typically sunny-side up or over-easy, for about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 5

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking the burger, place the slice of American cheese on top of the patty to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Bun

Spread butter on the inside of the Brioche bun and toast it on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted Brioche bun, place the burger patty with melted cheese, followed by crispy bacon and the fried egg. Top with the other half of the bun.
