Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Trout

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Rinse the whole trout under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season the inside and outside of each trout with salt and black pepper.

Stuffing

  1. 2

    Make the Stuffing

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, chopped parsley, chopped green onions, chopped walnuts, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and dried thyme. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 3

    Stuff the Trout

Carefully stuff each trout with the rice mixture, packing it gently but not too tightly. Place the stuffed trout in a baking dish.

Baking

  1. 4

    Bake the Trout

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the trout are cooked through and flaky.

Serving

  1. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Once done, remove the trout from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve each trout on a plate, garnished with lemon slices and a sprig of fresh parsley.
