Main Ingredients

Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the top sirloin steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides. Let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved. Remove from grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Making the Chipotle Sauce

  1. 3

    Blend the Sauce Ingredients

In a blender, combine the chipotle peppers, minced garlic, olive oil, lime juice, honey, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.

  2. 4

    Heat the Sauce

Transfer the sauce to a small saucepan and heat over medium-low heat until warmed through, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

Cooking the Shrimp

  1. 5

    Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet, add a little olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and opaque.

  2. 6

    Combine Shrimp with Sauce

Pour the chipotle sauce over the cooked shrimp and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Slice the rested steak and arrange it on a plate. Spoon the drowned shrimp with chipotle sauce over the steak. Serve warm.
