Steak Ingredients

Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30-45 minutes before grilling. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Rub both sides of each steak with olive oil, then season generously with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Make sure to coat evenly for maximum flavor.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (around 450-500°F or 232-260°C). If using a charcoal grill, let the coals burn until they are covered with white ash.

  2. 4

    Grill the Steaks

Once the grill is hot, place the steaks on the grill. For medium-rare, grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side. Adjust the time if you prefer a different doneness.

  3. 5

    Add Butter and Rosemary

During the last minute of grilling, place the butter and fresh rosemary on top of each steak. Close the grill lid to melt the butter and infuse the steaks with flavor.

Resting

  1. 6

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes on a cutting board. This allows the juices to redistribute, keeping the steak juicy.

  2. 7

    Slice and Serve

Slice the steaks against the grain and serve immediately. Enjoy your perfectly grilled ribeye steak!
