Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Bring to Room Temperature

Remove the Angus T-Bone steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30-60 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Generously season both sides of the steak with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Pat the seasonings into the meat. Let it sit for another 15 minutes.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

If using a grill, preheat it to high heat (around 450-500°F). If using a skillet, heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.

  2. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the steak on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for approximately 4-5 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms. Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust cooking time for desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Use a Meat Thermometer

For best results, use a meat thermometer. Aim for an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.

Resting and Serving

  1. 6

    Let it Rest

Remove the steak from the grill or skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

  2. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Optional: Add fresh rosemary sprigs on top for flavor. Slice and serve the steak with your favorite sides.
