Method

Preparing the Salmon

  1. 1

    Marinate the Salmon

In a shallow dish, place the Norwegian salmon fillets and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Let it Rest

Allow the salmon to marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature to enhance the flavor.

Making the Sweet Thai Chile Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together the Thai sweet chili sauce, fresh lime juice, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, and red pepper flakes. Stir well until fully combined.

  2. 4

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more lime juice or red pepper flakes according to your preference.

Grilling the Salmon

  1. 5

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, ensuring that the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  2. 6

    Grill the Salmon

Place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Grill for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and has nice grill marks.

  3. 7

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve with lemon wedges and drizzle generously with the sweet Thai chile sauce.
