Method
Prepare the Burger Patty
- 1
Mix Seasonings
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently but thoroughly.
- 2
Form Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, slightly larger than the buns to account for shrinkage during cooking.

Add Bacon
Place the jalapeno bacon on top of each patty after flipping. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
- 6
Add Cheddar Cheese
Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
Assemble the Burger

Prepare Toppings
Slice the tomato, onion, and pickles. Tear off a leaf of lettuce.
- 8
Toast Buns
Optionally, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

Build the Burger
On the bottom half of each bun, place the lettuce leaf, followed by the burger patty with bacon and melted cheddar. Top with tomato slices, onion rings, and pickles. Finish with the top half of the bun.
