Preparing the Bread

Slice the Bread
Using a serrated knife, slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Toast the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the sliced bread on a baking sheet. Brush the tops with olive oil. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, diced mozzarella, minced garlic, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Allow the mixture to sit for about 10-15 minutes so the flavors meld together.
Assembling the Bruschetta

Top the Toasted Bread
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven. Spoon the tomato and basil mixture generously on top of each slice of toasted bread.
