Mussels and Sauce
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Mussels
Rinse the mussels under cold water, scrubbing the shells and removing any beards. Discard any mussels that are open and do not close when tapped.
- 2
Cook the Fettuccine
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 3
Make the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 4
Add Mussels and Wine
Stir in the mussels and white wine. Cover the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the mussels open.
- 5
Add Cream and Seasonings
Once the mussels have opened, add the fresh cream, Cajun seasoning, Sriracha, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- 6
Combine with Fettuccine
Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing to combine everything evenly. Cook for another minute to heat through.
- 7
Garnish and Serve
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
