Method
Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2
Mix the Blackberries
In a mixing bowl, toss the blackberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Let them sit for about 10 minutes to release their juices.
- 3
Make the Batter
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined.
- 4
Combine Ingredients
Pour the batter into a greased baking dish. Spoon the blackberries on top, along with any juices. Drizzle the blackberry syrup over the berries.
- 5
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- 6
Prepare the Rim
While the cobbler is baking, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and use it to coat the rim of individual serving dishes. Dip the rim into graham cracker crumbs to coat.
- 7
Serve
Once the cobbler is baked, let it cool slightly. Spoon the cobbler into the prepared dishes and serve warm with a drizzle of Rumchata cream on top.
