Preparation of Tea

Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Brew Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags and discard them.
Sweetening the Tea

Add Sugar
While the tea is still warm, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar until fully dissolved.

Cool the Tea
Allow the sweetened tea to cool to room temperature.
Serving the Sweet Tea

Chill
Once cooled, refrigerate the tea for at least 1-2 hours until chilled.

Prepare Glasses
Serve the chilled sweet tea over ice in glasses. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.
