Sweetener (optional)

Flavors (optional)

Ice

Preparation

Preparing the Tea

1. Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

2. Steep the Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 tablespoons of black tea leaves. Let it steep for about 5-7 minutes.

3. Strain the Tea

After steeping, strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the tea leaves.

Sweetening (Optional)

4. Add Sweetener

If you prefer sweetened iced tea, add 1 cup of granulated sugar or honey to the hot tea and stir until dissolved.

Flavoring (Optional)

5. Add Flavors

For added flavor, you can add fresh lemon slices, mint leaves, or peach slices to the pitcher of tea.

Chilling the Tea

6. Cool the Tea

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until chilled.

Serving

7. Serve Over Ice

Fill glasses with ice cubes (about 1 cup each) and pour the chilled tea over the ice. Garnish with additional lemon slices or mint leaves if desired.
