Preparation of Salad Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Spinach

Rinse the fresh spinach leaves under cold water and pat dry. Place them in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Slice the Strawberries

Hull and slice the strawberries. Add them to the bowl with spinach.

  3. 3

    Slice the Red Onion

Thinly slice the red onion and add to the salad bowl.

  4. 4

    Crumble the Feta Cheese

Crumble the feta cheese over the spinach and strawberries in the bowl.

Cooking the Toppings

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels. Once cooled, crumble into pieces.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Maple Spiced Pecans

In a small saucepan, combine pecans, maple syrup, salt, and ground cinnamon. Cook over low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently until pecans are well coated and fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Making the Dressing

    Mix the Dressing Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until emulsified.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Combine and Serve

Add the cooked bacon and maple spiced pecans to the salad bowl. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine. Serve immediately.
