Directions
- 1
Prepare the Pulled Pork
Start by seasoning the pork shoulder with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Rub the spices into the meat thoroughly.
- 2
Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add half of the BBQ sauce on top of the pork. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- 3
Cook the Macaroni
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 4
Make the Cheese Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- 5
Combine Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, pulled pork (shredded), remaining BBQ sauce, and cheese sauce. Mix until everything is well combined.
- 6
Prepare for Baking
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle bread crumbs evenly over the top.
- 7
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
- 8
Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm and enjoy your Pulled Pork Mac + Cheese!
