Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Rub this spice mix all over the pork ribs, making sure to coat them evenly.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).

  3. 3

    Cook the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs with another piece of foil to keep them moist. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and begins to pull away from the bones.

  4. 4

    Add BBQ Sauce

Remove the foil from the ribs and brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce over the top. Increase the oven temperature to 200°C (400°F) and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize.

Preparing the Sides

  1. 5

    Cook the Corn

While the ribs are cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the corn on the cob and cook for 8-10 minutes until tender. Drain and spread butter over the hot corn.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine mixed salad greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss to combine.

Serving the Meal

  1. 7

    Plate the Ribs and Sides

Once the ribs are cooked and caramelized, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve the ribs alongside the buttered corn and mixed salad.
