Chicken Tenders

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into strips, about 1 inch wide. Pat them dry with paper towels to ensure they fry properly.

  2. 2

    Season the Chicken

In a large bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add the chicken strips and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning.

Breading

  1. 3

    Set Up the Breading Station

In one shallow dish, place the flour. In a second dish, whisk together the eggs and milk. In a third dish, put the breadcrumbs.

  2. 4

    Bread the Chicken

Dredge each chicken strip in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip it into the egg mixture, allowing the excess to drip off, then coat it with breadcrumbs. Place the breaded chicken tenders on a plate.

Frying

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large, deep skillet or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 6

    Fry the Chicken Tenders

Carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  3. 7

    Drain and Serve

Remove the chicken tenders from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
