Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Take 4 slices of your favorite bread (white, whole grain, or sourdough) and place them on a clean surface.

  2. 2

    Butter the Bread

Spread 1/2 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread evenly.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle a generous amount (about 1/4 cup) of cheese on the unbuttered side of each slice. You can mix different types of cheese if desired.

  4. 4

    Season

Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper on top of the cheese to enhance the flavor.

  5. 5

    Toast the Bread

Place the slices butter-side down on a preheated skillet over medium heat. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bread is golden brown.

  6. 6

    Melt the Cheese

Once the bread is toasted, flip the slices to allow the cheese side to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Cover the skillet with a lid to help melt the cheese faster.

  7. 7

    Serve

Once the cheese is fully melted and the bread is golden, remove from the skillet. Cut the cheese toast in half and serve warm.
