Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt the Chocolate and Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips and unsalted butter over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Mixing
- 3
Combine Wet Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until well combined. Add the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- 5
Combine Both Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
Baking
- 6
Pour and Bake
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 7
Cool and Serve
Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.
