Shrimp

BBQ Butter Glaze

For Grilling

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a large bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp with Cajun seasoning and olive oil. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated. Allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Soak Skewers

While the shrimp is marinating, soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 15 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.

BBQ Butter Glaze

  1. 3

    Make the Glaze

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the BBQ sauce, cayenne pepper, and lemon juice. Reduce the heat to low and let simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Grilling

  1. 4

    Skewer the Shrimp

Thread the marinated shrimp onto the soaked wooden skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.

  2. 5

    Grill the Skewers

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the shrimp skewers for 2-3 minutes on each side, basting with the BBQ butter glaze during the last minute of grilling.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve

Remove the shrimp from the grill and drizzle any remaining BBQ butter glaze over the skewers. Serve hot and enjoy.
