Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ribs
Remove the membrane from the back of the baby back ribs for better flavor absorption.
- 2
Make the Dry Rub
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
- 3
Apply the Dry Rub
Generously rub the spice mixture onto both sides of the ribs. Ensure they are well coated. Cover with plastic wrap and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Cooking
- 4
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- 5
Wrap the Ribs
Place the ribs on a large piece of aluminum foil. Wrap them tightly to create a sealed packet.
- 6
Bake the Ribs
Place the foil-wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
- 7
Prepare the BBQ Sauce
While the ribs are baking, mix together ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a saucepan. Simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes to combine flavors.
