Directions

  1. 1

    Caramelize the Onions

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Slice the onion thinly and add it to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Season with salt and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Beef Patties

Divide the premium chuck beef into two equal portions and shape them into patties, making them slightly larger than the brioche buns. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In the same skillet used for the onions, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Cook the Beef Patties

In the skillet, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adding a slice of American cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the brioche bun, spread Weber's mustard. Place one beef patty with melted cheese, add two slices of bacon, a generous portion of caramelized onions, and a handful of house-made pickles. Stack the second beef patty on top, and finish with the top half of the brioche bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the Jack Rabbit Burger hot with your favorite sides.
