Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Mix the Meatball Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, ground veal, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  3. 3

    Form the Meatballs

Divide the mixture into three equal portions and shape each portion into a large meatball.

  4. 4

    Sear the Meatballs

Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and add a bit of oil. Once hot, add the meatballs and sear on all sides until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add Sauce and Bake

Pour your favorite house red sauce over the meatballs in the skillet. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through.

  6. 6

    Serve

Carefully remove the skillet from the oven. Serve the meatballs hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
