Cheesesteak Hoagie Ingredients

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Thinly slice the onion, green bell pepper, and mushrooms. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, and sauté for about 5 minutes until they begin to soften. Add the mushrooms and banana peppers, and continue cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until all vegetables are tender.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the shaved steak. Season with salt and black pepper, and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the steak is browned and cooked through.

  4. 4

    Melt the Cheese

Lay slices of provolone cheese over the steak and vegetable mixture. Cover the skillet and let it sit for a couple of minutes until the cheese is melted.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Hoagies

Slice the Costanzos rolls lengthwise. Spoon the steak and vegetable mixture into each roll. Drizzle with steak sauce to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the cheesesteak hoagies hot and enjoy!
