Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Cucumber
Wash the cucumber, then grate it using a box grater or food processor. If the cucumber is particularly watery, squeeze it in a clean kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.
- 2
Mince the Garlic
Peel the garlic cloves and mince them finely using a knife or a garlic press.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. If using, add the chopped fresh dill.
- 4
Mix Thoroughly
Stir all the ingredients together until well combined and creamy. Taste the dip and adjust seasoning with more salt or pepper if desired.
- 5
Chill
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid, and refrigerate the tzatziki for at least one hour to allow the flavors to meld.
