Chop the Tomatoes
Dice the ripe tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Mince the Garlic
Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves, then add them to the bowl with the diced tomatoes.

Prepare the Basil
Rinse the fresh basil leaves under cold water, then pat them dry. Tear the leaves into smaller pieces and add them to the tomato mixture.

Add Seasoning
Add the balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper to the tomato, garlic, and basil mixture. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Slice the Baguette
Cut the French baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Toast the Bread
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the oiled baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Top the Toasts
Remove the toasted baguette slices from the oven and let them cool slightly. Spoon the tomato mixture generously on top of each slice.

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and enjoy immediately while the bread is still warm.
