Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Remove the saucepan from heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5 to 7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, remove the tea bags and discard them.

Sweetening the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If desired, add your choice of sweetener (sugar, honey, or agave syrup) to the warm tea and stir until completely dissolved.

Flavoring the Tea

  1. 5

    Add Flavorings

For extra flavor, you can mix in lemon juice, fresh mint leaves, peach slices, or raspberry puree to the brewed tea. Stir well to combine.

Cooling the Tea

  1. 6

    Chill Tea

Let the tea cool to room temperature, then place it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to chill.

Serving the Iced Tea

  1. 7

    Prepare Serving Glasses

Fill each serving glass with ice cubes (about 2 cups) and pour the chilled tea over the ice.

  2. 8

    Garnish

Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and additional fruit slices or purees if desired.
