Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Spaghetti

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Finely chop the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery.

Cooking the Sauce

  1. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté for about 5 minutes or until softened.

  2. 4

    Brown the Meat

Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 7-10 minutes.

  3. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Seasoning

Stir in the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.

  4. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serving

  1. 7

    Combine and Serve

Serve the cooked spaghetti topped with the Bolognese sauce. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top to taste.
