Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the campanelle pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Sausage and Bolognese Sauce
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned. Add the minced garlic and shishito peppers, cooking until the peppers are tender.

Add Tomatoes
Stir in the crushed tomatoes and season with salt and black pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked campanelle pasta to the sausage and tomato sauce, tossing to combine thoroughly. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Serve
Plate the pasta and top with crispy pig ears. Garnish with lime wedges for squeezing over the dish. Serve immediately.
