Lasagna Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Cook Lasagna Noodles

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sauté Spinach

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  4. 4

    Mix Ricotta Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, salt, black pepper, and half of the parmesan cheese. Stir in the sautéed spinach until well mixed.

Assembling the Lasagna

  1. 5

    Layer Ingredients

In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place 3 lasagna noodles on top. Spread one-third of the ricotta-spinach mixture over the noodles, followed by a layer of marinara sauce and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.

  2. 6

    Repeat Layers

Repeat the layering process (noodles, ricotta-spinach mixture, marinara sauce, and mozzarella) two more times, finishing with a layer of marinara sauce and topping with the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese.

Baking

  1. 7

    Bake the Lasagna

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  2. 8

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven and let the lasagna cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
