Pasta Preparation

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 liters of water to a boil over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.

Cook Spaghetti
Once the water is boiling, add 400 grams of spaghetti. Cook according to the package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Drain Pasta
After cooking, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside.
Meatball Preparation

Mix Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine 500 grams of ground beef, 100 grams of bread crumbs, 50 grams of grated Parmesan cheese, 1 egg, 2 minced garlic cloves, 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley, 1 teaspoon salt, and 0.5 teaspoon black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Shape Meatballs
Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get around 20 meatballs.

Cook Meatballs
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté Onions and Garlic
In the same skillet used for the meatballs, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Sauté 1 chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add Tomatoes and Seasoning
Add 800 grams of canned crushed tomatoes, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon salt, and 0.5 teaspoon black pepper to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a simmer.

Return the meatballs to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
