Directions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti or pasta of choice and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp and sauté until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Make the Marinara Sauce

In the same skillet, add the canned crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine, then bring to a simmer. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

  4. 4

    Combine and Serve

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet with the marinara sauce. Stir to coat the shrimp in the sauce and heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes. Serve the shrimp marinara over the cooked spaghetti, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
