Method

Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Seafood

Rinse the shrimp and scallops under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.

Cooking the Dish

  1. 3

    Make the Sauce

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. 4

    Cook the Seafood

Add the shrimp and scallops to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turns pink and the scallops are opaque.

  3. 5

    Add Cream and Cheese

Pour in the heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese while stirring until melted and combined.

  4. 6

    Combine with Pasta

Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet. Toss gently to coat the pasta in the creamy seafood sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

  5. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
