Assembly Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Coffee Mixture

In a bowl, combine the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur (if using). Allow it to cool to room temperature.

  2. 2

    Whip the Cream

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.

Making the Cream Mixture

  1. 3

    Mix Egg Yolks and Sugar

In a large mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the granulated sugar until pale and creamy, about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Incorporate Mascarpone

Add the mascarpone cheese to the egg yolk mixture and gently fold until well combined.

  3. 5

    Fold in Whipped Cream

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Dip Savoiardi

Briefly dip each ladyfinger in the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not mushy.

  2. 7

    Layer the Tiramisu

In a rectangular dish, layer half of the soaked ladyfingers on the bottom, then spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over them.

  3. 8

    Repeat Layers

Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

  4. 9

    Chill the Tiramisu

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.

Final Touch

  1. 10

    Dust with Cocoa Powder

Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder using a fine sieve.
