Sea Salt
Method
Harvesting the Sea Salt
- 1
Collecting Seawater
Begin by sourcing clean seawater from a pristine location. Ensure that the water is free from pollutants and debris.
- 2
Evaporating Seawater
Pour the collected seawater into a shallow, wide container to maximize surface area. Place the container in a sunny location with good air circulation. Allow the seawater to evaporate naturally, which may take several days to weeks depending on the climate.
- 3
Harvesting the Salt
Once the seawater has completely evaporated, you will be left with a layer of salt crystals at the bottom of the container. Carefully scrape the salt from the bottom using a clean, dry spatula.
- 4
Storing the Sea Salt
Transfer the harvested salt into an airtight container for storage. Keep it in a cool, dry place to preserve its flavor and texture.
